ECO is managed by a small
team of
volunteers. The material on this site is of a very distinctive nature because
of its ecocentric perspective. For a long time it has been the only UK website
giving full weight to all three factors in the IPAT equation:
I (environmental impact) = P (population) x A (affluence) x T (technology)
Other environmental groups tend to ignore the Population factor.
Happily,
Optimum Population Trust has now opened its own website to explore
issues of population and ecological sustainability. We hope to build on our
close links with OPT.
